Podravka in the kitchen with future chefs
Spring in Podravka brings new knowledge. Our chefs have recently swapped professional kitchens for the field – to inspire, educate, and cook side by side with future chefs. As part of the educational project “Let’s Cook Together,” they visited the Industrial-Craft Schools in Pitomača and Nova Gradiška, where they had the opportunity to collaborate with students from the second and third grades of the culinary program.
What was prepared?
In Pitomača, cooking was full of creativity. The menu featured interesting ingredients such as chickpeas, tuna, basil paste, buckwheat, as well as sweet favorites like cherries and the indispensable Lino Lada. Podravka chefs Zlatko Sedlanić and Marija Bošnjak demonstrated how quality ingredients and culinary knowledge can create delicious dishes for a larger number of people. Special interest was sparked by basic sauces like Demi glace, roasting sauce, mushroom sauce, and the universal Delux cream, which students used in preparing various desserts.

Independent cooking under the watchful eye of professionals
In Nova Gradiška, the workshop had an almost professional spirit. Since it involved final-year students, they prepared dishes independently, according to the tasks assigned by Podravka’s chefs. On the plates, among other things, were: O’plant salad with barley porridge, beef rolls in hunter’s sauce, and sweet crocus cubes. Throughout the entire process, the students were guided by culinary specialists Zlatko Sedlanić and Branko Takač, and praises for organization, collaboration, and delicious dishes were not lacking.


What brings us the most joy? The energy, curiosity, and openness of these young chefs. Many of them will enter the job market this year, and we wish them much luck, inspiration, and successful culinary endeavors.
