Colorful skewers of minced meat with pilaf rice

Ingredients

1 kg ground meat (beef and pork)

120 g Spice mix for ćevapčići and pljeskavice

200 ml sludge water

150 g fresh green pepper

150 g fresh red pepper

100 ml sunflower oil

Attachment

200 g Parboiled Rice Zlato Polje 800 g Duvec

Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation steps

Weight for 4 portions – Skewers: 1 kg, pilaf rice: 1.2 kg

Mix the seasoning for ćevapčići and pljeskavice with water and let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes. Mix the meat with the seasoning and place it in the refrigerator.

Mix the meat once more and shape it into balls. Thread the meat and peppers onto a skewer to create a colorful kebab.

Grill or pan-fry, turning for about 5 to 7 minutes depending on the thickness of the patties.

Pilaf rice

Dice the remaining pepper, fry it in oil, add water and simmer for about 5 minutes. Then add the stew, heat it up, and add rice and seasonings as needed.

Tip

You can bake the skewers in the oven at 200 °C for about 10 minutes.

Serving

Serve with ajvar, onion, and baked potatoes. You can add mushrooms and onion along with the peppers.
