Podravka's Knowledge Promoters: Young Chefs Learned from Experienced Experts
Students of the third grade of the culinary program at Industrial and Craft School Nova Gradiška participated in an educational workshop led by Zlatko Sedlanić, a gastro specialist from Podravka. The aim of the workshop was to enhance their culinary skills through practical work and professional mentoring.
The young chefs went through all stages of meal preparation, from selecting ingredients to the final presentation. This approach allowed them to better understand the cooking process and the importance of creativity in gastronomy. Teachers emphasize that such collaborations with industry professionals are invaluable as they provide students with insight into the real market demands.

Sedlanić, who has been sharing knowledge with students through workshops for years, praised their enthusiasm and desire to learn.
„Our collaboration has now become a tradition. Students embrace this form of teaching excellently; we strive to cooperate as much as possible and assist them. We hope that today, tomorrow, they will become true chefs and find their place in the job market. Our experiences with the people of Nova Gradiška are more than positive; they are all wonderful young people who want to learn, discover something new, and are very much ready to face all the challenges of the job market.”

The workshop once again demonstrated how important it is to connect educational institutions and the food industry. Students had the opportunity to work with experienced professionals, learn new techniques, and receive useful advice that will aid them in their further professional development.
We want to continue encouraging young people to learn and develop. Through such workshops, we also learn from them – their creativity and fresh perspective on gastronomy enrich our experience as well.
