Mediterranean flavors delighted visitors in Rovinj

The Mediterranean cuisine is an inexhaustible source of inspiration and fantastic dishes. Its aromas and flavors are recognizable and beloved around the world, and they are even better when presented by the sea – in this case at the Weekend Food Festival in Rovinj.

Podravka’s chefs Branko Takač and Ivan Bobinac presented their interpretation of Mediterranean cuisine through two dishes that combined simplicity, strong flavor, and homegrown tomatoes.

Visitors had the opportunity to taste their version of shakshuka, a dish of eggs in a rich tomato and spice sauce. The menu also featured whole grain pasta with roasted tomatoes, feta cheese, and basil. Both dishes demonstrated how quality products, especially those based on tomatoes, can be the foundation for professional and home kitchens alike.

Through practical tips and demonstrations, Podravka’s chefs reminded everyone how authentic Mediterranean ingredients are the key to a good dish and how, with a little knowledge and the right products, great flavors can be created.
